Lani Burville is a visual artist specialising in watercolour painting based in central Queensland. Lani draws inspiration from everyday and mundane moments, with a particular interest in capturing light.

Her solo exhibition 'Reflections & Refractions' (2025) builds upon on this, focusing on how light interacts with transparent and reflective objects. Within the reflection, realities are warped, appearing different from each perspective.

Lani has been a finalist in art awards across Queensland including the Queensland Regional Art Awards, the Bayton Awards and Du Rietz Art Awards. Recent prizes include:

• First Prize in Works on Paper, Brigalow Arts Awards 2025
• Highly Commended Young Emerging Artist, Bundaberg Art Prize 2025
• The Pieter Groen-int-woud Memorial Young Emerging Artist Award, Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards 2024 for her work 'The Gravy Boat' (below).
